This course ensures that agencies can reliably assess pilot proficiency and system performance, which is essential for effective emergency response.
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) course is a series of standardized test methods for small, unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). These methods are designed to objectively measure and compare the capabilities of systems and the
proficiency of remote pilots.
The testing methods developed by NIST are crucial for public safety operations, allowing agencies to evaluate and improve their drone capabilities.
Our class Uses open test lanes to evaluate 5 different flight paths to identify objects from safe altitudes in open environments. These tests are scalable for all sizes of aircraft to demonstrate positive control at all times with accuracy. They can be performed outdoors or indoors to control lighting and weather.
