Information:
This course will provide a basic understanding in the determination of origin, cause, and responsibility of fires. Topics covered in the course include fire chemistry, safety, application of the scientific method, and fire scene documentation.
COURSE DETAILS:
This course is based on elements of NFPA 1033, utilizing Kirk’s Fire Investigation (2012 ed.) and NFPA 921 (2011 ed.). It should also count as tested hours towards certification as a CFI through the International Association of Arson Investigators. A certificate of completion of 24 hours of training will be issued by FMC for Introduction to Fire Scene Investigations.
